The First Big Snow of the Year!

This is the first snow this year with more than a couple of inches. In our family it's a tradition to have doughnuts and hot cocoa on the day of the first big snow, soooo, guess what we get after dinner tonight! Mmm! :-)

The wind was really blowing on my way out to the barn this morning!

Are these horse blankets different from what you usually see?

I thought the foam on the milk this morning looked a little like the snow.

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
Isaiah 1:18
Isn't it wonderful to know that in spite of the dirtiness of our sin, God can and will make them as white as the snow from heaven? What a God!

Little House...Under the Tree

This is a house on River Rd. that we pass occasionally. The style is very similar to that of our house in Tennessee - maybe that's why I've always liked it so much:-)

It's cute and tiny and... maybe I should stop there. I guess it reminds me a lot of the log cabin we had in TN. I think most of us kids would have liked to live there instead of the big house! :-)
If you're wondering why it's been so long since I've posted, it's because I've been sewing like a maniac!!!! MaryBeth and I finally finished our bridesmaids dresses. I would post pictures, but I don't want to spoil anything:-) This is JoAnna's dress - I just finished it today. I'll try to post more often (hahahaha)

Pictures of Buddy!

Here are some pictures of Buddy with his new owner, Stacey. She is with the mounted police near Muskegon, and this is a camping trip that they went on. Stacey and Buddy are on the far left.

Here they are again - I think he's looking really good!

Happy boy! :-)

Is this what you call desperate for a blog post? :-) Stephen and I stayed home while Daddy and the kids took Mama to the airport yesterday. Bread needed to be made, so I decided to experiment with pictures while it was cooling.

Game Night!

Last Sunday evening a couple of the girls organized a game night at church. Thank you girls!

First Caleb and Marty played a game with a spoon camera. One of them held a spoon up, took a picture, and the other person developed it revealing who the first person had taken a picture of. Very interesting!

This is Snorta - talk about sounds! I wish I would have taken a video, but everyone was playing. This game takes an incredible memory if you're going to get anywhere!

The next game was Upset the Fruit Basket. I haven't figured out how to set the shutter speed on my camera, but you can see the effect - people were really moving trying to get a seat! (There is one less seat than the number of people playing the game)
